Musicians Schedule for 2009/2010

Remember to give yourself plenty of time before rehearsal starts to get set-up, warmed-up and ready to play and don't forget to help out with putting the chairs and stands back after each rehearsal!

Playing With The Pops:
The Pops welcomes experienced musicians in the community who want to sit in on any open rehearsal. After attending open rehearsals, players who want to become regular members of the orchestra will be asked to demonstrate their skills for the section leader or conductor. As openings occur, we select new players from our substitute list, created from those who have attended open rehearsals. Most orchestra positions are filled at this time, but we encourage any interested musician to contact us. The orchestra currently has openings for violin, viola, trumpet, and percussion players, but other openings may occur.

The Reno Pops Orchestra rehearses weekly on Thursday nights at 7 p.m. Players are expected to attend at least 75% of the rehearsals in any set, and attendance at Dress Rehearsals is mandatory.
